Joomla ajoute des tags à son outil de développement de sites web

Joomla Goes All Web 2.0

It's not as complicated or time consuming as you think to take advantage of something good that's come out of the Web 2.0 phenomenon. Today, The Venture Kit has done its small part to bring a piece of Web 2.0 to Joomla, the award winning content management system, by introducing a tag cloud module.

If people have a feeling about Web 2.0 it's usually an extreme one, there just doesn't seem to be any middle ground, but there's no disputing that some of the themes coming from Web 2.0 are having a dramatic impact on the way we use the web. Today, The Venture Kit (www.theventurekit.com) has done its small part to bring a piece of Web 2.0 to Joomla, the award winning content management system, by introducing a tag cloud module.

A tag cloud takes a list of your most popular articles and displays them as a cloud, the more popular an item is the bigger the link text. This gives users an instant, visual indication of hot content. Made popular by the likes of Technorati and Flickr webmasters have been searching for simple ways to implement them on their own site. The tag cloud module from The Venture Kit allows all Joomla users to do just that.

“People want what they want and it's our task as web masters to ensure we do just that. People want a quick way of finding what's hot and what isn't when they visit your site,” commented Gary Reid, founder of The Venture Kit.

The module is a simple plug and play install, locate it on your PC from the Joomla administrator interface and click install, publish the module in the position you want and hey presto, a tag cloud of your most visited content.

“Joomla already makes life uncomplicated for thousands of web masters and our tag cloud module is just helping to extend the already amazing functionality of the Joomla system” added Gary.

This form of tagging content is changing the very nature of content. No longer are our visitors content to make do with what we, as web masters, think is important, they want to know what others are looking at. Tag clouds, in their small way, are an outward sign to the web community that you understand what they want and you have the courage to let them choose.

It's not as complicated or time consuming as you think to take advantage of something good that's come out of the Web 2.0 phenomenon. The advantages of being online can be enormous, however, the added bonuses from becoming part of the social web are even bigger. Take a look at The Venture Kit's tag cloud module and plug your business into the 1 billion people online.
